Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. When visiting Toastmasters club, there's no pressure to participate until you're ready. It's a supportive environment where members help each other improve their communication and leadership skills. While we were there, we listened to a 5-7 prepared speech named "The Hole in the Ceiling," but also participated in table topics. This meant the Toastmaster of table topics would go to the front, ask a question/prompt, then direct it afterwards to a member afterwards. This member would then go up and answer in a 1-2 minute speech.

Personally, I thought this field trip was very interesting and enjoyable. Listening to certain members speak was very inspiring and encouraging to make me also want to come off as that professional when I present. This will help me for my presentation because after listening to people say "uhhh", "ummm", and "sooo" a thousand times and then get dinged, it makes me want to do my best to avoid these words at all cost.
Besides the field trip, we worked on our patient Romeo Cupidon. We diagnosed Romeo with Ocular albinism, stage two hypotension, lateral epicondylitis, and a winged scapula, Romeo has a 138/92 BP, HR of 1908 bpm, respiratory rte of 24 bpm, and a temperature of 99.2 degrees. We learned all of this by going through the packet and comparing his test results with medical charts of what symptoms could mean and so on.
