Types of Evidence:

-Roadway Evidence

  • tire marks

  • gorge marks

  • vehicle parts and debris

  • bodily fluids

  • damage to fixed objects

-Damage to the involved vehicles

• Injuries to Vehicle Occupants and Pedestrians.

• Paint, Fiber and Rubber Transfers to Objects,

• Toxicology, Autopsy and Event Data Recorder (EDR) Reports.


PAINT, FIBER AND RUBBER TRANSFERS TO OBJECTS

Paint Transfer from one vehicle to another

(black paint on a white vehicle).

Denim transfer from a pedestrian's jeans to a vehicle bumper/hood.

Human Hair Stuck in a Windshield (Car vs. Pedestrian),

Rubber from a vehicle tire to another vehicle's door/fender.


INJURIES TO VEHICLE OCCUPANTS AND PEDESTRIANS

• Bruises from seat belts.

• Abrasions from airbag Deployment(s)

• Head Injuries from striking the windshield/airbag (unrestrained vehicle occupants).

• Broken Lower Extremities (Pedestrians/Bicyclist/Motorcyclist).

+seat belts automatically lock when airbags are deployed.
