Today the chief of police joined us to talk about life choices and his career. The man grew up "under privileged" and life set backs with human flaws. not many enjoy following rules, including the man himself.
what is about him that makes him succesful?
1. faith; you can't succeed if you never fail
2. consistency; it took him 26 1/2 years to become chief
3. attitude; you can be the best cop, but your attitude will cause no one to work with you
Although his speech was short, he gave plenty of advice to the young students that filled the room completely full. In 8th grade he already knew what he wanted to be. He got his bachelor degrees in business and then later on his masters along with another cop. His greatest mentor was his mother who refused to let him and his siblings fail. He grew up in Prichard, Alabama with rough surrounds and had a service heart which let him to his profession.
