This story is about a pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital and his life growing up.
It shows flashbacks between him as a kid, and him right before preforming the first successful surgery with separating two twins, and both of them surviving. As a child Ben feels as if he is dumb and has manic episodes but soon gets into Yale and becomes the number 1 student.
