location: South Alabama University outdoor pool
When we arrived at South Alabama's outdoor pool, we were welcome to the sight of a drowning victim. It was heard that the victim had a seizure and began to drown. Once the pool was made sure to be okay for entering, the life guard jumped into the pool and lifted the victim out onto a spinal board. After this the lifeguards began to preform CPR till the firefighters got there and began to take turns preforming it and using an air pump into the mouth. They tried to use an operated CPR machine but it ended up not working because of the size of the mannequin. The firefighters talked about how you need to be not just physically, but mentally tough.
