For the last week of October, our class particapted in a dexterity exercise. In this lab, we were given two coffee stirs and had to pick up as many cheeros possible in under one minute. We recorded our progress when doing it with our right hand, left hand, and then both. After this we continued onto smaller objects that we had to place in our cup.
Each student in the class was also assigned a certain topic to research that had to do with cancer. For my assignment, I recieved skin cancer. Three of the specific ones listed were basal cell, squamous, and melanoma. Each of these can be caused by dangeroys UV rays, extreme altitudes, genes changing in moles, and more common things like constant sunburns or long exposure in the sun. Others had topics like pediatric cancer. Pediatric cancer is cancer in a child. The most common type of Leukemia but it can be treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and or stem cell transplants.
